Hey Simon, yes, I know what you mean about having to have everything in place (time, money, lots of practice, lots of repertoire, a good guitar etc etc) in order to be able to start a project like making a CD. Mine took a year to make from start to finish, though I produced a professional (mastered) demo disc half way through. I never believed it would take so long. But isn't it amazing to see the fruits of your labour!? Well done, the samples I've heard sound fantastic! I'm on my way to PayPal to buy the album right after this.

Your site has had a facelift - lots of great new things to see and read and learn.

Well done with everything and good luck for all your up-coming gigs!

Cheers, Duncan.

Hi Simon,

I'm really looking forward to hearing your new CD. As for a title, how about "El viaje a casa/The journey home" as you are travelling through the music of different ages and and nations towards Australia and your mother, who is arguably your greatest fan,

Very best wishes,

Derrick

Hey Simon, How about Culmination for the title of your cd, or something in Spanish that means Beginning or first of many, or something like that.

Hi Jerry, thanks for your comment! I am playing a Paul Sheridan guitar now but all of the recordings you hear on this site (including the video) are performed on the Marseglia. I am actually looking to sell the Marseglia right now. If you are interested send me an email and we can discuss it.

Thanks,
Simon

I was considering a Marseglia guitar, after playing one last year in Ireland. What guitar are you playing now? You have a great sound!

Simon - It took a while to reply but hope it was a productive weekend mate. Looking foward to hearing about it on the 25th at your degree recital.

We were buried in 4 feet of snow in Baltimore that weekend. Whilst You did cross my mind there was no way to communicate as all power was out for 4 days. I wanted to tell you what you were going through was more difficult then digging and digging and digging a footpath up a 300 yard driveway.
